Four peaks – Sunshine, Storm, Thunderhead and Christie – offer 2,500 acres of skiing, and the resort has almost completed a massive expansion including the opening of a brand new mountain – Morningside Park. All that, and enough champagne powder to keep even the most avid fan happy. If you're not staying slopeside, buses run every 20 minutes.
They claim to have the largest super-pipe in the USA. The Maverick Terrain park has kickers, jibs, rails, a 20ft-deep pipe with a massive sound system. Terrain is boarder-friendly too – they say there's only one run in the 141 where boarders have to push out. There's a half-pipe for kids in the Spike area.
Boarders and skiers are charged the same rates for lessons. There are women-only clinics and children are looked after from six weeks old, with different classes up to the late teens.
